The future will evolve as a result of the sum total of the inputs from worldly and cosmic influence. Worldly influence includes the earth's environment and the human impact on the environment. Human impact includes each and every one of us. We can see that each and every one of us has little influence but influence none the less. You will influence the future, whether positive or negative depends on your decisions and actions. If you chose not to actively participate you will still influence the future. With active participation you have some control over a tiny bit of the future. With the coordinated participation of many you get more control.
Project delivery is much like that. If you chose to participate you can control and influence the outcome. If you lead a team with coordinated participation you have much more control of the outcome. If you chose not to participate the project will still evolve and you will still influence but not necessarily in the way you would like.
They say we get what we deserve, that applies to the future as well. If you think you deserve more, do more to influence the future.
