Does anyone know where I can access the PMBOK 6 Guide in PDF format that has the option to print pages? I purchased the CAPM course which provides me with access to a PDF version but it does not allow for the to option to print.

Hello Jenifer,

To my knowledge none of the PDF version of PMI's standards and practice guides are printable. Its something that changed when PMBOK 6th edition came out a few years back.. 2017 I think.

If you go in the properties of the PDF document (Adobe Acrobat Reader - Edit - Protection - Security properties), you'll see everything is 'not allowed' beside accessibility. No printing, no comments, no copy-paste, etc... it's a way to protect the copyrighted material.

Quite a few members were surprised at the time. It would have been nice to at least allow the commenting option so we could write thoughts and notes in the PDF document itself. Alas it hasn't changed since then.

However if you are a PMI member, you could access PMI standards+ here https://standardsplus.pmi.org/login

Then go in the filters to reduce the results to the ones from the PMBOK 6th edition...

and then view the chapters of the PMBOK 6th you wish to print (or save as PDF) via the web browser. But it is a tedious work if you want to print ALL the chapters. And the result isn't great either because it like printing the content of the webpage not just the chapter itself.

I wish you the best in your journey to CAPM.

Regards, Chantal
