Do you have any examples or templates for an approach to Lifecycle Management Frameworks for Projects? In particular for complex projects such as those in chemical compound development/ pharmaceutic

If you are looking at drug discovery, that lends itself better to an adaptive approach given the high degree of uncertainty, the need to conduct multiple short experiments and the importance of pivoting quickly if a given approach is not going to work. On the other hand, once you move to the trial, approval and manufacturing stages with a (mostly) proven drug, that tends to follow more of a predictive approach given the heavy regulatory requirements.

I do not think that you can find anything in the Template section of the website. I would say, you should create one for your specific case.

As part of the PMI Diciplined Agile product, they have a quite good set of decision trees to recommend a lifecycle selection depending on your situation. It's in their e-book "Choose your WoW" (way of working). It includes traditional waterfall, scrum, lean, and continuous delivery along with others.

I believe you can access it as a PMI member, but I have also seen the physical book for sale online.
