Hi my name is Adiya, lives in WA state. I've earned my MBA degree in CityUniversity of Seattle 2017-2019. I also did my Master of Devolopment Policy degree in KDI public policy school in South Korea 2013-2014. However I haven't had a chance to work in project managament field since 2019. There are a lots of personal difficult life situtions had happened since I"ve graduated. Now I'm here would love to take PMP exam but seems like they have requirements that says last 8 consecutive years non-overlapping expereinces on exam content outline. In this case, what certificate exam supposed to take first? Before my MBA degree, I have been working IRS in Mongolia, however I'm very passioanate to pursue project management, agile and scrum. What exam do I need to take? PMP or PMI ? I have taken Project Management prioritization course, Managing with Technology, Negotiation for management etc. I'm not sure that I can qualify for pmp exam eligibily requirements. I have been studying myself PMBOK 6th, PMBOK 7th editions. Phone app's that has exam preps. Please give me some of your valuable advices ? Thank you so much

If prior to 2019 you gained 36 months of experience managing projects, you're eligible for a PMP. I recommend studying Rita Mulcahy's certification prep, it's a good option to acquire good PM Knowledge at your own pace, and is updated to the latest exam. Visit this link:

Thank you VerĂ³nica for sharing that link. I'll check that out. Much appreciated.Adiya

I am more inline with Kiron's feedback. If you don't qualify for the PMP (36 months of experience) then CAPM would be your next right choice in my opinion.
