Hello, I'm working on a blog post about the challenges of obtaining the PMP, hoping to build a series through my journey to getting it. When I go to the Blog page in the Community tab, I am not seeing any way to write my own post. Is there somewhere I have to request access to post? Do I have to obtain certain badges/other credentials to be able to post a blog?

Update 30 mins later...
I found the "Contribute Content" page and submitted a detailed request. Forgive me, I am only within the past few weeks using this site and am still learning.
Something that would be helpful is to have a resource for new members, perhaps a video tutorial showing all the aspects of the community site, with suggestions on how to get the most value from the site? With a decade in instructional design and product implementation, these tutorials can be really beneficial for users! Happy to clarify or even help build this if there is interest.

You probably do not have the option of creating a blog because you are new here. Contribute content is something different and has nothing to do with blogs and as far as I know that is for articles and white papers.

You can check if you have the ability to create a blog or not under your account. Go to your picture (top right corner), click on your name (Linda), there will be a drop down menu. Choose first one "Account" then it will take you to another page. In this page there are tabs: The fourth from the top below project experience is called Blogs. You can check there if it allows you to create your own blog and if it does, you can name it and start contributing.

Hope this helps.

I haven't been consistent with my blog, on this site, but when I started it, I focused on my journey preparing for the PMP exam. It's not my best writing, but that's not what I was going for. Maybe it will give you some ideas as you share your journey.

The option to create a blog isn't available for all community members. The community administrators decide when you are qualified to start a blog. So, stay active in the Project Management community, collaborating with comments and answers, participating in polls, earning badges, attaining NODs, showing Project Management expertise, etc; and then you'll see the Create blog option available on your account section.

Thanks for the information about Blogs - I am having the same iisue - I cannot see anything in my Account about my ability/inability to create one

i was actually trying to get some help from fellow PMI Members with an assignment that I have to complete as part of a Post Graduate Diploma in Creativity Innovation and Entrepreneurship
It will probably take less than 5 minutes

You can use more open platforms like LinkedIn to share your journey, either on your own profile or in groups. There are already several large groups there with PMP as a topic.
