Organizational Transformation Micro-Credential Series quality issues

PMI Community: I'm in the midst of taking the Organizational Transformation Micro-Credential series. I've been having many quality and learner experience issues with the two courses I've taken already, with one left to go.

Categories of issues include the tool choice and navigation problems with errors showing xml code, missing materials, content issues, quiz issues, and general learning approach choices made. I was disappointed when completing the exam and being unable to learn from that experience by knowing what questions I answered wrong.

While generally speaking the course content is incredibly valuable, these significant delivery issues create a poor experience and hurt that value. My issues list is quite long and I'm looking for opportunities to connect directly with a producer of the courses who might be interested in collecting and fixing these issues.

I'm reaching out to the community here for two things: (1) to see if other learners have encountered issues with these courses and (2) suggestions for connecting with course producers directly to provide feedback.

Hello Evan,

As a last resort, I would check here https://www.pmi.org/about/leadership-governance/executive to see whom amongst those VPs and Chief officers could help you.

Last year when I couldn't renew a certification because of a problem with the dashboard, after multiple chats, emails... I decided to contact the Chief customer officer. I got a reply 9 days later and the problem was solve they day after.

Just a thought.

Thank you Chantal.

I have made contact with someone who was involved in the creation and maintenance of the courses. I've given him a preliminary list of issues. We are trying to arrange a time to speak for more detail.

I'll keep your ideas as a next option.

Hello Evan,

Would you share your experience/feedback on the OTF e-course/exam?

Was the content of the e-course by itself (without all the external articles) plus the Transformation compass are sufficient to succeed in the exam?

I found many external links broken and was sometimes unable even with online searches to access the article/report.

I wondered if some concepts are better explained in those external resources or if the e-course was sufficient from your point of view.

Regards, Chantal

Hello Claude,

I am going through the OTF e-course. I have encountered many links referring to external articles that aren't working. Any news as to when it should be resolved?

Hello OT community. Chantal asked a few questions about the OT course series (which I have completed).

Course #1, Foundations, has some issues that I reported to Claude, who is part of the development team.

There are numerous online articles at various third-party websites that are targets of buttons or other navigation means in the courses. Some of them are behind paywalls (unfortunate) and others may have been moved by the provider. This means broken links or navigation to an unexpected place on the provider's site. Examples are in Section 2, Change in Context, Examples page to access BMW, LEGO, DISNEY and INTERAC case studies. BMW, Lego and Disney were not accessible.

While this is frustrating to the participant, these materials seem to be supplemental to the course. They are very useful to get a broad perspective on the concepts, the information is not critical to be able to complete the course or pass the exam.

I hope this is helpful.

Chantal, I agree with Evan. The course material itself is more than enough.

Fantastic! An ideal scenario would be to "meet" with someone and walk through the courses, demonstrating and pointing out the issues in real-time. I wish to help others avoid my frustrations and make these as good as they could possibly be.
