PM Humor
Hello Dear Friends,

Being hyper-detail-oriented has made me strong in PM skills, but the flip side is I can "lose my sense of humor," as a former boss once pointed out.

In the spirit of all that is new, and turning in a new direction with the new year, could we start a forum for sharing humor relevant to PM roles - things that are safe enough to share with a general audience to lighten everyone's mood and keep teams motivated?

I remember the classic diagram of a swing going through the stages of design and development, which ultimately lost sight of what the customer actually wanted (a simple tire swing).

Thank you :)

Brigitte, that is not a bad idea actually. I know there is one of our colleagues here on this platform from Brazil (His name is Jose) and he does some Comics related to Project Management so I am sure he will totally support your idea as well.
Interesting idea.
No input here, though.
Thank you for your support and the tip, I will see if I can find Jose :)

The one challenge is that you can't attach images to posts in this community, otherwise I have lots of good PM-oriented cartoons.

Dilbert is a perennial source - just search for project and you will find lots of gems.

As far as when to share humor, in some meetings, it helps to start with something lighthearted to set the tone before getting into more difficult conversations. The side benefit is that it can fill the first couple minutes while people are trickling into the meeting late.
