Bearing in mind that for many of us the holiday season is approaching, does anybody have any suggestions for books that relate to the PM role and which PMs may enjoy reading, whether fiction or non? No textbooks please! Stories around creating change perhaps, particularly in the fields of health & social care, would be very interesting to me in particular.
In case anyone finds this idea alarming, don’t worry, I do have some non-PM related books to read too…

One good book that I recently read and would recommend is "Sync - The Emerging Science of Spontaneous Order" by Steven Strogatz. Saving Changes...

Since you're interested in books about change related to health and social issues, I'd recommend the following book titled "We All Fall Down: Goldratt's Theory of Constraints for Healthcare Systems" by Wright and King:
This book is about the application of Goldratt's "Theory of Constraints" and Critical Chain (a major project management methodology movement) written in a novel format that uses a fictionalized account of a major process change movement that occurred in the British National Health System.
Written in the spirit of Goldratt's famous business novels such as "The Goal", "Critical Chain" and "It's Not Luck", you learn about TOC applied to the healthcare industry and get entertained in the process. Not a bad way to spend the holiday reading. :)
Oh, btw, I'd high recommend Goldratt's novels as well if you haven't already read them. Saving Changes...
