Becoming a PM instructor

Hello folks- hope everyone's doing well. I'm currently a PMP & PMI ACP and have been practicing for many years now. As a way to give back to the community and set up a side gig, i've been mulling over the idea of becoming a PM instructor. I would appreciate any insight from anyone who has gone down this path. I do have experience with facilitation; over the past 12 years I've regularly conducted training courses for new hires and managers in my organizations on topics such as LSS, PM and so on, but I'd now like to "formally" set myself up as an instructor. Any inputs would be welcome. TIA!

Did you go through the PMI-ATP Program? Here is the link:

Go through it, if not already, and I am sure it will help clarify many questions for you.

You also don't need to join an ATP to teach. There are many independent training organizations out there who are not ATPs who might be interested in increasing their facilitator ranks.

Side gigs can take more out of you than it gives. If you're going at it on your own, you will be dealing with invocing, tracking expenses, and finding clients.

I still do some side gigs. It means I have to juggle the demands of a full time job and the extra hours of freelancing.
