Hello! I have a client that wants to use Microsoft Project Plan 3 to manage multiple events and other key tasks to manage his business. He wants the ability to see everything in a timeline color coordinated by event type. He also wants to send notifications to his team when they have tasks assigned, a day before the task is due if it is not already completed and when the task is behind. He also wants to track resource budgeted costs vs actual. There are probably a couple of other things I am missing.

I am trying to see if I need Project Online or Project Accelerator. If I need Power BI and Power Apps. Help!! 🤯

Thank you so much!!!

It is hard to say. It depends.
I would say the Smartsheet does the things you mentioned.

Monday.com gives the functionalities of color timeline and allows to enable e-mail notifications.

If you want to work with Power BI, I recommend "MonitoreoTeletrabajo". This newfangled project monitoring solution combines agile with global indicators. Every team member can be included in a Trello dashboard, to update the state of his respective tasks. The team member will receive e-mail notifications about his assigned tasks. Then, the information is translated into a global indicators panel, on Power BI, that can be shared with management supervisors.
