Few months ago, PMI announced that the CAPM exam will change and published the new Exam Content Outline (ECO). So far, the current exam is still based on the former ECO (2018).
When is the exam change to the new ECO? Nobody knows.
So, in my study group, should we study based on the 2018 ECO?
Why the PMI released the new ECO but keep the same exam?

In my opinion, until the change is confirmed by PMI, the exam will follow the previous version. You can email customer care or chat with PMI, and ask for their advise, they are usually very helpful.

Given the uncertainty around the switchover but knowing that PMI does provide sufficient lead time to prepare before they switch, I'd suggest to your study group booking an exam time frame relative soon to be able to write the existing exam rather than the new one.

Thanks Kiron for your answer and suggestions. I’ll try to convince my colleagues in the study group to follow the 2018 ECO and apply for the exam asap.
