Hi,

Keen to understand any guidance on how to run a Design Authority (business design focused, not technical).

Does anybody have any guidance (eg. what sort of things are discussed, typical attendees and decision rights framework etc)

You may need to reword your question due to potential language differences. In my experience, Design Authority is the delegated role responsible for technical oversight of the product, such as a Chief/Principal Engineer.

Business processes are still technical in nature from a systems engineering perspective. Case in point: 1/3 of the PMI talent triangle is technical in the business sense, irrespective of the primary technical domain of the product itself.

have seen this under the name of architectural board, typically based on organizational strategy, involved in transitions aka change programs.
They document and decide (after analysis) on design choices.
