Hello, it looks like PMBOK 7th edition is available, so I'm wondering if the PMP exam will change in 2023? Also, once it does change, how long will it be until the next change? I have members of my team who want to plan their study group and take the exam, but it will depend upon when the exam changes.

I do not expect a drastic change in 2023. Likely a few questions from 7th edition.

While PMI regularly adds and updates questions in the exam item pool for their certifications, the prerequisite for an exam change would be a new role delineation study (RDS) with the updating or creation of a new Exam Content Outline. As that hasn't happened, I'd expect things to remain "as is", especially given the significant change two years ago to pivot the exam towards more agile & hybrid questions.

I fully agree with Kiron, and in case PMI wants to change the exam, they usually give the community at least 6 months heads up.

The PMP exam is based on the PMP Exam Content Outline (ECO). For 2023 there won't be significant changes from the previous exam version. Mainly, PMI is using both PMBOK Guide 6th and PMBOK Guide 7th Edition for question development.
