Resilience. Any large, complex transformation is going to involve surprises which you couldn't have envisioned, so resilience to not just roll with the punches but to come back stronger is valuable.

I second Kiron's response. I would add stamina and a knack to not worry about the small things. Saving Changes...
Emotional Intelligence. Large scale means a lot of people involved who just went from experts in the old system to novices in the new one. That creates a lot of stress for the people who's work you are transforming. Understanding how people deal with major changes is very helpful in working with them where they are emotionally in the process.
It is also easy to get frustrated with people yourself as they are adapting at different rates. Explaining things make take longer than you thought necessary, and if you can recognize yourself getting frustrated and realize it's not helping, you can better manage your own emotions through empathy with their struggles.
To Kiron's response, on a very fun but stressful project I learned that if someone asks how you are doing and it has been a bad day, rather than complain I just smile and reply, that I am getting a lot of opportunity to practice my emotional resilience today. Saving Changes...
Mega projects need a lot of effort and time to manage. It means we have to oversee a great number of people and activities to go on the right track within budget and timelines. However, risk and changes happen always, so to see things visibly from starting point to visioning overall project is vital.
More, it's necessary to be resilient and mindful to stay strong and healthy during long period of time under great workload. Saving Changes...

Change agents.
Executives do not implement transformations but employees do.
And a transformation is an operation on human networks/communities more than on organizational structures and processes. Saving Changes...
In what capacity? As a leader, I would want the ability to develop and communicate vision. As transformation manager, there are a lot of attributes I would want, but I think I would start with cognitive empathy. Most transformations succeed or fail because of people, not technology. Being able to understand the driving forces behind resistance and how to address them would go a long way toward ensuring a successful transformation (assuming the transformation is a good idea to begin with). "We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it - and stop there; lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot stove-lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove-lid again, and that is well; but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore."
