Starting our first PMO at our 1,100 employee non-profit research institution. Our Tools and Resources page is currently blank. We are looking for background, articles, forms/template, professional development, etc. What would you say are introductory resources and tools? We understand we can build this out over time but want to start with something. The PMI resources are SO vast and I would like to hear from the community what are the best. Assume our users have no idea what a PMO is or how project management can help them. Saving Changes...
A couple things might be information on what the PMO can do for them and how to engage the PMO.

Yes, thank you. I am looking for links to resources that we can post. The PMI search engine is to vast to really find the good resources so I am asking the community to suggest some.

Who is your target audience - is it folks currently leading projects or anyone in the company?
If the former, I'd suggest having a link to PMI's Kickoff free on-demand course (https://www.pmi.org/kickoff/) as a good intro to project management. Beyond that, rather than providing some third-party content, the sooner you can post the PM policy or standards for your company for internal staff, the better.
If the latter, then there is really too much out there to cherry-pick so again, my recommendation would be to focus on your PMO's stance on delivery excellence.

Thank you. We just launched a PM career ladder at the organization. It's making waves - some good, some not so good. We are following up with launching a PMO and a PMO website. We have PMs but they may not be categorized yet as such. I am looking for third party content, forms, articles, etc that we can quickly use for the launch. We will likely not have PM standards and policies for some time.

Leslie-Ann, I have two recommendations for additional resources beyond what PMI offers:
1) For PMOs, you can also check PMO Global Alliance website. They have great resources as well.
2) For Articles and Journals, check PM World Journal: https://pmworldjournal.com/ - It has wealth of information.
Hope this helps.
Thank you, I am starting to comb through the PMO Global Alliance. Do you have an specific suggestions on resources?

On their website, under resources, they have a decent amount of info categorized.
There is also The PMO Leader platform, check it out. They have something called PMOpedia.
I find some standard templates very helpful for my team. Every organization seems to have their own and it is easier to get a consistent look and feel where people know where to find specific information on charts.
A PowerPoint template for 1 and/or multi-page documentation and reporting is always useful, as are schedule templates. Companies use different tools, but providing examples of standard formatting and organization in your chosen tools can save a lot of headaches for the PMs, and others reviewing the material alike.
Our org. has started to build a library of short videos that walk people through various common needs like filling out commonly used but often confusing forms, or performing simple functions in our unique office systems. Some you can find on the web, but the instructions are often version dependent like Office 2021 vs. 365 so make it easy for people. Saving Changes...
