Benchmark Data for KPI's - Where to find this info?

My company is asking me to find benchmarks for Project Performance. Meaning, metrics such as "what percentage of projects exceed budget," for example. I have no idea where to get this information. Any suggestions? Saving Changes...
PMI does occasionally publish such data in its pulse of the professions publications but I'd suggest that it would also be very industry and project context-specific.
For one, I would say they vary by industries so you will not find a one size fits all solution.
Google will give lots of results, often from people trying to sell their services however if you are patient you can find some useful information. Researchgate.net is a better place to find scholarly documents such as this one: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/3..._Implementation
Whenever I do serious research that I need to convince stakeholders isn't from sales pitches, part of the trick is using the right search terms. It might take a while to get the results you need. Once you find a good seed article (like a literature study that has already plodded through many articles), look at the references section at the end. There you'll get more sources to review for input. In the paper I linked, you'll see ones on e-commerce, education, radiology, and others, many in languages I don't speak, etc.
From there you read several and see where they lead you. Essentially you create your own literature review based on the most relevant sources to your own needs. Saving Changes...
I agree with Kiron. However, those may or may not apply to your organization, project, industry, etc. Saving Changes...

You can find a lot on the internet, mainly inside PMI´s site. The problem is to trust on them or putting this in other way most of them do not have associated data about how the report was created to calculate or estimated your confidence levels. But at the end, while I do not know why you are searching for them, it will be not useful in terms to evaluate your organization by itself. Saving Changes...

Chad,
do you know that metric for your organisation, at best over time?
Is it relevant for it to be successful (in the sense of stakeholder satisfaction)?
You might not want to believe that improving the performance of the parts of a system (e.g. keeping budgets) taken separately will necessarily improve the performance of the whole (maybe over-budget projects create the most value for your business).
Benchmarking fails to deliver.
But eats resources you better spend elsewhere. Saving Changes...
