Having completed my third year of Ph.D. in Timber Engineering at The University of British Columbia, I would like to direct my career in the Project management field.
My current research focus is on developing a resilient and reliable wood-damage-free connection technology for mass-timber panels in multi-storey buildings. Such a technology will undeniably increase the popularity of wood as a value-added building material. As the proposed connection will be easily de-constructable, this technology will allow the reuse of timber elements—inducing a more sustainable consumption of wood resources and ultimately leading to a more responsible exploitation of Canadian forestlands.
Prior to my starting my Ph.D. in Timber Engineering, I studied both Civil and Mechanical Engineering and hold a M.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Quebec, as well as an Engineering Master and a Bachelor—both in Civil Engineering. I do have a strong passion for conducting projects from start to finish in various engineering environments. For this is reason, I decided to integrate the field of Project management.
I am currently looking for a mentor that will assist me in choosing the right certificates, the right moves to take, and some insights into the project management field.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Saving Changes...

You do have a solid background in engineering, no doubt but you certainly need to take extra few steps to get started in the project management field. We do have similar backgrounds in a way, as I have a Civil and Structural Engineering degree.
I provide mentoring as part of my own business at RMK Coaching so it’s not volunteer or pro bono. Happy to engage with you and provide more details about sessions and fees if you are interested.
