Every day I am more disappointed with what is happening at PMI Portugal.
Nomination instead of Election to Management positions.
These practices are the antithesis of what PMI stands for.
I will now transcribe a publication by the President: "Congratulations to all! Sharing themes that mobilize and question us on a daily basis is very important in this face-to-face and safe space! Traveling through territoriality is also one of the objectives of this beautiful initiative. Thanks to the founder and energizer Eduardo who we are proud to have on the Board of PMI Portugal as VP Members!"

PMI unfortunately doesn't publish the region map or who are the current region mentors from what I can find out. However, I was able to find this region map from a chapter:
Thanks Kiron, very informative but it doesn't show who is in charge for which area. One would think that this is something PMI should be publishing for the public to view as needed.

Luis -
Could you share the link to that page as I was looking for the list of region mentors and couldn't quickly locate it?
Kiron
Dear Kiron
The link is this:
https://www.pmi.org/about/leadership-gover...leadership-team Just below: "Office of the CEO" and "Community" you will find the tab: "Markets"
There you can find all the Regional Managing Directors Saving Changes...
Those are PMI staff positions. The Regional Mentors are volunteers who usually start at the Chapter level and after years of experience move to supporting the Chapters within a region.
As far as I know, there is no published list of those but a quick Google search revealed the region 8 mentor to be Eugene Bumagin so I'd contact him directly...

Dear Kiron
Thank you for your recommendation
Taking into account my experience and until proven otherwise, it's not worth doing anything
PMI is not what it was when I decided to join one day.
Is it a sign of the times?

The institute has gone through a number of major shifts since I joined back in 1999. While I don't agree with some of these, I still see value in the resources provided to practitioners such as their standards and practice guides. And they have provided a community to meet like minded practitioners on a global basis, so I will always be appreciative of that!

Dear Kiron I can look at PMI from at least two perspectives: - As a project management professional - As an associate
We agree when you write: "I still see value in the resources provided to practitioners such as their standards and practice guides". This is my appreciation as a professional
As a member, my doubts grow with each passing day.
