Hello - I am current in grad school for my MBA and I have a project I need help with. I need to research a topic that I am interested in and I feel will impact the future. I am looking for a fellow project manager that has utilized AI in the workplace. I am hoping to find someone who has used/researched/implemented utilizing AI for project management purposes in the workplace. Any leads would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Kendra Kinney,
My experience with AI is somewhere between PO and PM role. Here are a few tips for AI usage:
1) Craft emails and invitations to stakeholders with ChatGPT
2) Provide ChatGPT with some context about the project and ask it to come up with additional questions for stakeholders regarding the matter.
3) Use Otter.ai, notation.so for meeting notes of simply ask ChatGPT 4 to make a summary of the google hangout transcript.
4) Use chatGPT for backlog grooming before presenting it to the team for evaluation.
5) User Guidde to make how-to guides for stakeholders.
6) Create diagrams. Provide a scenario to ChatGPT and ask it to create a PlantUML or mermaid diagram. Then import the code into a diagram tool like draw.io.
7) Create concise notification/error messages in perfect English with ChatGPT. Just tell it your idea and ask it to generate a notification/error message in a sentence or two.

Hope that helps.

Hello Kendra,

Great topic.
There is the Easy AI where you can use off the shelf tools to improve productivity and efficiencies.
There is the Cool AI where you can use Machine learning on processes to provide you with insights and to offer your team and customers new experiences.

I use KNN machine learning for predicting stakeholders management efforts.
There are various papers who demonstrate machine learning applications for project management.
My webinar "AI for project managers" end of sept 2023 provide ready to use SaaS and applications as well guidance for finding help for ML initiatives.
Feel free to message if you want to know more

Hi All, it is a very interesting consideration for PMs to align towards adoption of AI tools. At my present role, I lead teams to create applied AI projects. I have also had the privilege of conducting courses/ sessions/ lectures for PMs on AI project management as well as use of AI tools towards enhancing productivity and efficiency of PMs. Happy to exchange notes. Thanks
