I ask this because I would like my company to financially sponsor my certification. But, in order for them to do this, I would need to cite specific ways that this would benefit my organization, above and beyond the membership benefits. I work at a hospital, in a 400-person radiation oncology department. Saving Changes...

Jessica, if you are managing programs then this will give you exposure as to how to manage programs more efficiently and effectively, benefits realization, transition planning, performance monitoring and so on.
In reality, you will be the one benefiting from this credential but in terms of the organization, they will benefit in two ways:
1) If you apply what you've learned to the programs you are managing and did enhance their performance and the way they are managed. This is more of a tangible benefit that can be assessed overtime.
2) Having a program management certified professional within their organization gives credibility in front of clients. This is more of an intangible reputational benefit.

This is a great response - thank you! I'm hoping to put something together for my organization that clearly demonstrates the certification's value. Saving Changes...
