I am preparing for the PMP Certification and have the Sixth Edition of the PMBOK Guide. Can anyone advise if I need to get the seventh edition of if I can still use the Sixth edition for study? Saving Changes...
As a reference, you'd use both versions (6 & 7) or you could use the Seventh Edition in conjunction with PMI's new Process Groups Practice Guide but as neither are designed as certification prep documents so most folks would prefer to go with a certification-focused guide and use the reference documents for just the occasional lookup.

Hi Victoria:
In addition to Kiron's response, please note if you are preparing for the PMP exam and you are already a PMI Member, in addition to getting your discount on the exam you would also have free access to the electronic copies to both editions of the PMBOK as well as multiple other guides (including the one referenced by Kiron). Hope this helps! Saving Changes...
You should study both PMBOK 6th and 7th editions.
Also, for your preparation, I recommend Rita Mulcahy's certification prep, it's a good option to acquire PM Knowledge at your own pace, and is updated to the latest exam. Visit this link:

I also want to suggest that you can spend a whole day on focusing on some materials about the formulas and calculations, which would be worthy to do as a part of your preparing for exam. Saving Changes...
