Hello everyone, I would like to ask the following question, could you tell me please: If a 3-year PMP cycle requires earning 60 mandatory PDUs,
and I have already earned 60 PDUs but still have almost a year remaining where I could earn an additional 10-20 PDUs,
will these extra PDUs be carried over to the next 3-year cycle?
P.S and if I will do some course now, can I add PDUs at future Saving Changes...

To renew your PMP credential, you need to earn 60 PDUs throughout the 3 years period. If you earn more than 60 PDUs, then any extra PDUs earned in the last cycle year (third year), up to 20 PDUs maximum, will be carried over to your next cycle.
Regarding the course, you can submit these PDUs later, if you gained them in the third year of the certification cycle. As Rami said, you can earn a maximum of 20 extra PDUs in this third year, and submit them for the next cycle of certification. Saving Changes...
Thanks for the answer, could you tell me: can I submit PDUs after i finished the course( in case it is the third year), or I have to wait before the next 3 years cycle will start? Saving Changes...
You can submit PDUs at any time, but as Rami indicated if you are more than 20 PDUs over, only the first 20 will be applied against your next recertification cycle. From then on, the only time new PDUs will be applied will be at the start of the next cycle.
For example, lets say your certification renewal was December 2023. If you renewed today and had more than 60 PDUs accumulated, up to 20 might be applied against your next cycle. However, any additional PDUs you earn between now and December would not be counted as it isn't the start of the next certification cycle yet.

Kiron, do I get you right?
If the certification is renewed in July 2023, any additional PDU earned between July-December 2023 are not counted for the new renewal period (as it actually starts from January 2024, not from the day of last renewal). In other wrods the next cycle start/end date is not changed.

Regardless of when you renew you credential, you cycle start date will be your original cycle date, not from the date you renew. For example, if you originally earned your credential in January 2023, your renewal date will be January every three years even if you accumulate 60 PDUs and renew before your cycle is completed.
If between Jan 2023 and Jan 2026 you did earn more than 60 PDUs, then any extra PDUs earned between Jan 2025 and Jan 2026 can be carried over to your next cycle up to a maximum of 20 PDUs.
