Does anyone know of a webinar or other materials on how project managers can best lead development teams without trying to interject technical solutions themselves?
This is where defining or clarifying roles & responsibilities early in the life of the project (whether formally using a RAM/RACI approach or informally) can help. Also, coaching the respective PMs and providing them candid 1:1 feedback when they cross such boundaries.
However, I have been in situations where the PM's past technical expertise is actually expected to be leveraged to support the team so a lot also depends on whether you have a "whole team" skills-wise...
