Who coined the phrase "Ways of Working" The PMI has incorporated into the PMI triangle. Lean uses it. Agile picked it up. Appreciate opinions across the industries not just from IT areas.

Joan, if I do understand your question correctly, then this came from The Disciplined Agile approach which co-created in 2012 by Scott Ambler and Mark Lines.

Later, PMI adopted the Disciplined Agile.

The phrase has been referenced in articles a lot longer than DA has been around (see this article from 1990: https://hbr.org/1990/07/fix-the-process-not-the-problem), but Scott & Mark certainly have done their part of bring it to the forefront.
