In general, emotional intelligence framework is conceptual structure intended to serve as a support or guide to develop project team and enhance interpersonal skills.

Emotional Intelligence is the capability to identify, assess, and manage the personal emotions of oneself and other people, as well as the collective emotions of groups of people.

Goleman describes EI as "managing feelings so that they are expressed appropriately and effectively, enabling people to work together smoothly toward their common goals." According to Goleman, the four major skills that make up emotional intelligence are:
• Self-Awareness
• Self-Management
• Social Awareness
• Relationship Management
