I'm working on my first project that is an ID project, and our Practice Lead/Sr. TW/ID suggested this to me:

"it will be helpful for you to set expectations on how you would like to get info you need from the team in advance of the client check ins. It may be useful to set up a recurring internal status meeting so we can talk through it."

I would love to do this, but I don't know what expectations I should have in the process of creating a CDD. All of my projects thus far have been straightforward: client gives us info to create user manual, team creates user manual, we send a draft to the client for their review, they send back comments to update, or they approve it. I check in on progress of drafts, I also monitor hours, budget, etc.

This seems a little less straightforward to me - I know that at the end of the 8 weeks, we deliver the CDD.

I'm looking for an example of what such expectations would have been for ID projects you have done - that would help me wrap my brain around this.

Actually any helpful info on PMing an ID project is welcome. Thank you.

(This is new to me, and I can tell that every time I have a question for the practice lead, it's more exasperation to add to her full plate. I thank you for any insight you might be able to provide.)

I think somebody should come up with a way to breed a very large shrimp. That way, you could ride him, then, after you camped at night, you could eat him. How about it, science?
