I am currently working on an IT project to implement an EDMS project. Currently, the team have completed eliciting requirements from 21 departments in the organization. After completing this process can someone advise what is the next approach. I am thinking to examine the requirements collected and check them for similarities and to see if the same aligns with the project objectives. However, my fellow IT colleagues can assist me here. Thanks

After you have gathered requirements from different stakeholders, you'd likely need someone to analyze them including removal of duplicates and identification of those which conflict with the project's objectives. From there, it is a question of evaluating and prioritizing the requirements as it is rare that a team can deliver everything requested by stakeholders within budget and time constraints.

There are many ways in which this prioritization can be done and it should consider such criteria as: value, risk reduction, cost of delay, dependencies and skill constraints.
