Portfolio Managment Software

linkedin twitter facebook   Portfolio Management
Greetings,

I am currently on the lookout for a portfolio management software that caters to the needs of upper management. The ideal software should provide a comprehensive global view of project progression and high-level dashboards.

Your insights and recommendations on a software solution that can provide an overarching view at the executive level would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Best regards,

Santos Gonzalez

There are hundreds.
You may wish to check the sites helping with selection and set your own criteria.

If you only consider executive level needs you might run into resistance by the people who need to provide the data input regularily.

There are tons of programs, however remmember that no tool will help with the process or lack of project prioritization.

You need to find a tool that fits the organization needs and also your teams engage with it.

My recomendation is that you engage your team and executives (if they will use it) during the tool selection.

You can use Microsoft Project (Project for the web), Microsoft Team, and Power Platform. These are together making up a platform for PPM. Watch the following link to have a broad view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCrlbAVGDQg

Cora or Planview... both seem very powerful in what they do in regards to portfolio management.

Project portfolio is not just the set of projects. Projects can depend on each other, projects have different priorities, there are portfolio constraints (resources, finances). Portfolio management includes portfolio scheduling and budgeting taking all this into account, risk simulation and management, regular updates and performance analysis. Reports and dashboard are the top of the iceberg. Look if the project portfolio management software meets your real needs.
