One important area for PMO's is establishing flexible playbooks and project processes for different needs in different departments. This is in addition to PMBOK processes. A pain point for many is having the knowledge or the time to define the right set of process steps to execute a project (agile, waterfall, or hybrid) that will improve end project results. AI (ChatGPT) will help with generating this content, or at least defining a solid strawman to make it easier for the process owner, project manager, or team member to take it to the next level with more accuracy.
You will see project tools adding AI/ChatGPT into project plan creation features.
