We have an incredible opportunity to increase the margin of project success and make the project management profession lead the AI transformation. Project professionals are learners by nature. It is our opportunity to lead in our organizations.

Is there a comprehensive AI platform that covers all aspects of a business? If not, what do you mean by AI transformation and AI implementation?

Where I currently work, we just implemented new WMS/fulfillment software; AI was not an option with the software. We could license AI features in our work/project management software, but it doesn't make sense to pay for a license for everyone when less than 10% of users need it. We are seeing some benefits from using ChatGPT, but it's not an "implementation" so much as a combination of free and paid accounts, and I would be hard pressed to quantify ROI. It's changing how some people spend their time, but I'm not sure it's saving time.

We can lead by example, but if there is going to be an AI transformation in our organizations, project managers are not likely to be the people deciding to transform or how to transform.

If you want to promote an AI transformation, off the top of my head, I'd think you'd need to define the following:

- What an AI transformation would look like
- Desired outcomes of the transformation
- Measurements for success
- Expected costs & benefits
- Milestones/timeline estimates/roadmap
- Stakeholders and people who would use/benefit from AI utilization
- Training - who needs it and what will they need?

I agree with the sentiment "AI won't steal your job, but somebody using AI might," but if you're going to say that you need AI, you need to be clear on what you need it for.

AI has been my field of work and study. It's an endless interesting topic.

First, you need to identify the purpose of using the AI and from there you can establish KPIs and Metrics of which one of them will be the ROI.

How ROI is determined is different from one organization to another and one application to another as well.
