My friend has just finished the exam (she took the test at the testing center), but the test results haven't been released. She received a notice stating that the results are being sent to PMI for a pass/fail decision. Does anyone know if this is normal or what the reason might be? Saving Changes...
I had same experience yesterday. Was shocked to find that I didn’t get a preliminary result. I asked the proctor who informed that this started just a couple of weeks ago. For a project management institute. One would expect a better plan to implementing a change of this magnitude. I’m a little disappointed.
Hi. I got it almost midnight on Sunday. So it took about 36hrs wait time, which isn’t the worst but just wish it was better communicated. Best part is that I passed above target which helps. LOL.
Good luck with your results!

I'm here thinking to myself:
- What will validate the PMI to consider that the exam results are correct or, on the contrary, wrong?
Would it be better to change exam providers and go back to Prometric?

I'm not sure that the increase in fraud has been primarily due to the Pearson VUE shift and given that Pearson has many more test centers (at least in North America) than Prometric, this might make things harder for candidates.
Similar to fraud detection systems in banks, I'd guess PMI has come up with some heuristics that help them identify potential instances of fraud but I doubt they would share those with anyone outside PMI :-)

Hi all - To reinforce the integrity of PMP certification, PMI adopted an enhanced validation process on 25 September 2023. To avoid confusion and assure proper validation procedures take place, PMI no longer provides a preliminary score report until the exam has been fully validated, including passing the data forensics process.
Hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please direct them to Customer Care - https://www.pmi.org/about/contact Saving Changes...
