Hope all construction community members are aware about the latest certification from PMI focusing the needs of Built Environment Projects (https://www.pmi.org/certifications/construction).

In my view Construction Professional in Built Environment Projects (PMI-CP)™ tailored to meet the exact needs of industry and covers all the management concepts applicable in construction projects.

The 7 modules in the course combines the learnings as well as best practices from Construction Industry Institute (CII) and Lean Construction Institute (LCI) together with Project Management Institute (PMI). The module on technology & innovation is much needed and relatively new for the construction folks. Overall I feel that PMI-CP is elevating the management skills of construction professionals and beneficial for Built Environment Projects.

What's your view and how do you find PMI-CP beneficial from other credentials?

In my opinion PMI-CP certification is beneficial because ir leverages knowledge applicability in the Construction Industry, empowering professionals to do their best towards desired outcomes defined in order to attain strategic objectives.

Still, tools and frameworks given are essential and a mean to keep teams aligned around business and technical issues that are important, more and more, in a ever fast and ever evolving challenges.

In face of this challemges, construction professionals need to be aware and ready.

This certification gives them this readiness.
