I’m Sotonye Russell, and I currently work as a Logistics Project Coordinator based in Oakville, Ontario. Growing up, I wanted to be an accountant because I always had a strong affinity for numbers. Today, I'm drawn to project management because of its incredible versatility, allowing me to interact with diverse people and play a vital role in bringing projects to life. That dynamic, hands-on involvement is what's kept me excited about the industry.
In terms of tools, I'm a strong advocate for platforms that provide robust data visibility. I love Microsoft Power BI for creating insightful dashboards and reports that transform raw project data into actionable intelligence for stakeholders.
My proudest professional accomplishment is achieving my PMP certification in a single sitting, scoring Above Target in all three domains.
I am eager to connect with other PMI members, learn, and continue to grow in this rewarding industry.
Thank you again for the warm welcome!

Hi Sotonye, thanks so much for joining us in PMI's online community! You're certainly in the right place - looking forward to connecting and learning from you as well! /span
My name is Molly, and I currently reside in the Tampa Bay Area. I’m new to the project management field and recently graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. While I was in school, I worked with Tetra Tech in disaster recovery, and that experience opened my eyes to the world of project management. I found it fascinating to see how projects function—the planning, coordination, and all the steps that take place long before work even begins in the field.
That exposure inspired me to pursue my master’s degree in Project Management, which I’ve just begun at Embry-Riddle. My goal is to learn from experienced professionals, absorb as much knowledge as I can, and continue growing in this field. I’m hoping that through this journey, I can eventually transition into a long-term, permanent project management position.
Thank you.

Hi Molly, welcome to PMI's online community!
Wishing you all the best as you pursue your master's degree!
Hi everyone! I’m Katie, currently transitioning into project management while working toward my CAPM certification.
When I was growing up, I wanted to be a doctor, and turns out I still love diagnosing things… just now it’s broken processes instead of broken bones.
Some of my favorite project management tools are Asana, Slack, and my personal specialty: color-coding anything that will sit still long enough.
I’m drawn to project management because I’ve always loved bringing order to chaos, supporting teams, and guiding ideas from “wouldn’t it be cool if…” to “wow, we actually did it.” The more I learn, the more it feels like the perfect fit for my strengths.
One of my proudest accomplishments is navigating a full career pivot into project management while staying curious, motivated, and open to growth. It’s been a journey, but a really exciting one.

Hello my name is Mark Miller. I'm an IT Project Manager in Raleigh, NC (Research Triangle). I've worked for 12 years as Senior IT Project Manager with federal customers, including USPS, delivering some of the services that you already know, such as Informed Delivery, the COVID test kits, package tracking, and many other day to day applications serving millions of customers a year.
Previously, I worked in Silicon Valley doing IT Systems Engineering & Management at increasing levels of difficulty before doing my MBA at the University of Oregon.
I'm currently looking for my next challenge. I am considering obtaining the CPMAI certification. I have a degree in Theoretical Computer Science from DePaul University in Chicago, so I'm hoping to use that background along with my startup and federal experience to apply AI concepts to my next role.

Hi everyone, I’m Ciro — it’s a pleasure to join this community. I currently work in financial operations and project management in the accounting and professional services industry, while also completing my studies in Property Management here in the U.S.
Growing up, I was always drawn to problem solving and organization, which naturally led me into project management. What keeps me in the profession is the combination of structure, people, and continuous learning — no two projects are ever the same, and there is always an opportunity to improve a process or help a team move more efficiently.
Some of the tools I use regularly include Microsoft Project, Power BI, and various AI-assisted platforms that support planning, reporting, and decision making. I’m also expanding my skills in cloud technologies and AI-driven project management, which I believe will reshape the future of our profession.
My proudest accomplishment so far has been earning my PMP® and using that foundation to improve financial and operational processes in the organizations I support.
Looking forward to learning from all of you and contributing where I can.
