Narendrasinh RathodTechnical Manager| Value Chain Solution India Private LimitedIndia
Hello everyone!
I am Narendrasinh Rathod and working as Head of the technology department. I have 16+ years of experience.
When I was growing up, I aspired to be a software engineer, and life led me on an exciting path working in technology and then project management.
I am passionate about using Agile, Scrum, hybrid, and other project management tools. I find them incredibly useful for enhancing project efficiency and collaboration. However, I'm always eager to learn more about new project management concepts, as our industry continually evolves.
I was initially drawn to project management due to my natural inclination for organization and my passion for bringing order to complex situations. I've always been fascinated by the idea of taking a concept or an idea and turning it into a tangible, successful outcome.
Project management, with its structured approach to achieving goals and objectives, seemed like the perfect fit for me.
I also enjoy working with diverse teams and helping them collaborate effectively. Project management allows me to lead and support my team members while ensuring everyone's efforts are aligned to achieve a common goal.
This aspect of teamwork and leadership is something I find highly rewarding. Over the years, I've stayed in this field because I love the dynamic nature of project management. It allows me to lead teams, solve complex challenges, and see projects come to life.
My proudest accomplishment is mentoring and guiding 40+ individuals in their careers; seeing them grow and succeed is an incredible reward. I am proud of completing the PMP certification. It was a challenging journey, and it represents a year of hard work and dedication. It was a significant milestone in my life and professional journey, and it has taught me valuable lessons that I carry with me every day.

I'm Emily and I'm currently managing a team of 16 PMs. I always wanted to do something with organising or helping people... So I guess Project Management comes naturally to me!
I love agile and the mix of hybrid. I'm always trying to work and perfect the best way of working for the teams and organisations.
I've always found the PM industry to be so collaborative and helpful that it's such a great environment to learn and work in.
My proudest moment was presenting at the 2018 EMEA PMI conference. It was such a valuable learning experience and something I've not been able to top yet!

-Your name and your current role:
Brantlee Underhill, Chief Community Officer of PMI
(If you're wondering, what is the CCO? I’m responsible for nurturing and growing the engagement within our community of project professionals and aspiring project professionals.)
-What did you want to be when you were growing up?
An international spy. Anyone remember Sydney Bristow?
-What are your favorite project management tools and technologies? Or ones that you’d like to learn more about?
I love a good charter that includes the benefits expected. I value the structure and simplicity of what needs to get done and why.
I also love the agile mindset, which is also a growth mindset. With the head in the right space, anything is possible. (Can you tell I’m an optimist?)
-What drew you to the project management profession? What's kept you in it?
I was drawn to PMI when I found this job in the newspaper (yes, an old-fashioned newspaper!! In the last century, by the way!!) and it was an opportunity to work with international communities by helping to set up and grow PMI’s chapters. It was a good fit for me coming out of college considering my studies in language and political science. And I landed at PMI at quite a time; the organization had about 40 employees and 30,000 members in 1998. And now, we have 750 employees and nearly 700,000 members. I grew my career here at PMI, learning so much about the profession by working with our volunteers, and I’ve made many friends along the way. I’m truly grateful for the challenges and continuous growth and learning, and that I get to serve this community every day. I love what I do!
-What's your proudest accomplishment (personal or professional)?
I’m most proud of my family and raising our son. Being a mom is the best. And becoming PMI’s first Chief Community Officer is pretty cool; I feel most aligned to my purpose when I’m visiting our community members by sharing a meal and conversation or walking through the streets in the places where they live and work. These moments create stronger connection and belonging, and those are powerful qualities that come from being part of PMI.
