I am Wilfred, and I am thrilled to be a new member of this vibrant PMI community. Currently, I serve as Technical Project Manager, where I manage Projects for FBC Crown Bank under FBC Holdings.

As a child, I dreamt of becoming a pharmacist but ended up in Information Technology. My path eventually led me to the exciting world of project management. It's fascinating how life can take us on unexpected journeys.

As a Project Manager with Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe (then), I found immense value in tools and technologies such as automation and data management. The ever-evolving tech landscape in project management keeps me engaged and motivated.

I was initially drawn to the project management world when an opportunity to handle Technology Projects arose within the organization to handle local projects. The ability to see an idea become a reality through effective project management is a powerful and fulfilling experience that has kept me in this field.

My aspiration is to be get PMP certification, and I am working on this with a target of Q1 2025 to attain certification. I am eager to connect with fellow PMI members, share experiences, and learn from your insights. I endeavor to embark on this exciting journey of knowledge sharing and growth together.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community, and I look forward to contributing to and learning from our collective expertise.
Welcome to PMI's online community, Wilfred! Best of luck on your PMP journey; the community is here to support you in any way that we can. We look forward to learning from you as well!

Jackie Ward
PMI Team Member
Student Engagement Specialist| Project Management Institute Chicago IL, United States
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jackie and I am an Academic Programs Specialist at PMI.

As a kid, I was always changing my mind about what I wanted to do, but a couple themes held true- my entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help others. I'm happy to have finally found work where I get to be creative and help others!

I'm still learning about pm tools and technologies, but I think the best way is to just use the systems you're given and that others are working with. I've found implementing new tools can be difficult, so unless there is a strong case or purpose for using something, I try to sense what the team is using most frequently to coordinate and communicate with each other, then adapt that for the project!

As I mentioned, I've always been entrepreneurial and had a desire to make change and help others. Project management has felt like a natural balance between these two parts of myself.

My proudest accomplishment has been leaving my hometown in West Virginia and making a home for myself in Chicago. I've been here about 2 and a half years, and the transition was really difficult at first. Now I have a solid support system of chosen family and a community that I can call home.

Mohamed Hassan Director| KPMG Riyadh, 01, Saudi Arabia
My name is Mohamed Hassan, and I am a Technology Director at one of the Big 4 consulting firms. In this role, I manage large-scale projects focused on business resiliency, disaster recovery, and digital transformation, working with diverse sectors to enhance operational resilience and technology-driven solutions.

I dreamt of becoming a pioneering technologist who could create solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. Over time, I realized that combining technology with strategic project management would allow me to achieve that goal on a larger scale.

I frequently use Microsoft Project, HP project management and Smartsheet for project planning and tracking, while Power is my go-to tool for data visualization and reporting. For collaboration and workflow management, Microsoft Teams and Jira are incredibly effective. I'm particularly interested in exploring AI-powered project management platforms like Planview and Wrike, as they are transforming how projects are executed and optimized.

I was drawn to project management by the opportunity to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. I enjoy translating complex objectives into actionable plans and leading cross-functional teams to achieve impactful results. What keeps me in the industry is the dynamic nature of projects, the continuous learning curve, and the satisfaction of delivering solutions that create tangible value for businesses and communities.

Professionally, my proudest accomplishment has been leading a highly complex Business resiliency project for a telecom provider. This initiative not only safeguarded critical operations during a crisis but also set a new benchmark for resilience planning in the region. On a personal level, earning the PgMP certification and actively contributing to communities like PMI Saudi Chapter has been incredibly fulfilling, as it allows me to share knowledge and mentor aspiring professionals.
