Good Evening everyone. My name is Jeff and I live in San Diego, CA. I am retired Navy and now support the Navy as a contractor on the new construction, ship procurement side. I have been with my current company for 7 years and was promoted last year to a position of Test and Trials Coordinator. About the same time, I was finishing up my degree (Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Project Management), and realized that testing each ship we received from the builder was a project unto itself. I started to apply project management principles to the process and discovered a lot of benefits. I wanted to increase my knowledge and skills so I joined PMI. I was finally able to get my PMP this year. I am proud to be part of this organization and group, and look forward to learning from my fellow Project Professionals.
Welcome, Jeff! You're in the right place, and echoing Brantlee, congrats on your PMP! Saving Changes...

Hello everyone, I hope you are keeping well. I'm Yasmina, a French project manager in the telecommunication industry. ; living and working near Paris.I was unsure if I had a clear idea of the profession I wanted to embrace when I was young. It became more apparent when I went to high school. I became an accidental project manager, but it was a natural path from telecom engineer to project manager. I love international project management a lot. I can learn something new every day. I'd like to learn more about AI benefits in my job. I'm also an active PMI volunteer. I'm an official blogger on projectmanagement.com. Don't hesitate to let me know if you're interested in a topic you'd like me to write about. 2023 was a year with new experiences for me: I talked at the PM Germany summit (in German) and took part in a panel discussion at the PMI Global Summit in Atlanta. It was also my first trip to the USA as an adult. I am looking forward to 2024 and to connecting with you.
Hi Yasmina, thank you for contributing to ProjectManagement.com and PMI's online community!

Migrating project portfolio from Asana to O365 Microsoft Project - Lessons Learned Greetings Everyone! I manage a PMO for a small company in the Diesel transportation/maintenance space. We are considering a migration from Asana to O365 Microsoft Project for our company project portfolio and am interested in experience from others. What worked? What didn't work? What did you have to do differently? Training considerations for staff, etc. All insights and feedback are welcomed. Thank you!

Hello everyone! My name is Kimberly Whitby and I’m a Community Engagement Specialist here at PMI! It’s so great meeting you all here, both new and familiar faces. You may have seen me around the community popping in and out of discussion forums, so it’s nice to meeting you here in this thread. So, below are my answers to the original questions posted.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? LOL, so many things, but will narrow down to three: 1. Oral Surgeon – I’m still a lover of science and math. 2. Super Spy – well, CIA agent (always wanted to go undercover to save others’ lives or prevent catastrophes) and 3. My dream job was to be on the cast of Saturday Night Live. Long story……….LOL!
What are your favorite project management tools and technologies? Or ones that you’d like to learn more about? Our team started using Monday.com a couple months ago, so I am still adjusting but love how we can cross collaborate with other departments to ideate solutions.
What drew you to the project management profession? Well, as I’m not a project manager, I’ve had various roles in consulting, training, managing executive education programs, so I guess that’s what drove me to PMI, starting in the Academics department What’s kept you in it? The learning I soak in each day; it’s amazing!
What's your proudest accomplishment (personal or professional)? That’s tough, but the first thing that comes to mind in writing this is that I’ll be celebrating my 10th year here at PMI in two months. I think that’s something to be proud about!
Looking forward to hearing from others!

Kimberly Whitby: You're such a great member of the Online Community Engagement Team and I personally appreciate all your efforts and dedication to this community (I am sure most community members would agree with me).
By the way, we do share the same interest in terms of science as I've always wanted to be a General Surgeon.

Kimberly Whitby: Time is one part of the equation which I am not sure I personally have as I need to enjoy life a bit before I get to an age where I can't. The other part of the equation is the financial part so even if we have time, do you have the money to go through this 10 year process :-)
It's a nice dream but the more I think about the reality of it, the more I am convinced it should remain a dream LOL
