Hello everyone, I’m Manoj Anand, with over 24 years of experience in Information Technology. For the past three years, I have been serving as a Scrum Master and Project Manager at Intuitive Surgical, based in Santa Clara, California. Prior to this, I spent around seven years as a Project Manager and Project Lead. At the age of 15, I discovered my passion for programming when I began learning my first language, BASIC. From that moment, I was determined to become a Software Engineer. I earned a degree in Computer Science and, 14 years later, pursued a Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Project Management. In project management, my go-to tool is Microsoft Project, although I’m keen to explore and expand my expertise with tools like Monday.com. What drew me to project management were my strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and enthusiasm for problem-solving. My natural traits—empathy, active listening, clear communication, calmness, and kindness—have been instrumental in my success and growth as a Project Manager. As Project Managers, empathy and leadership are vital to building trust and motivating your team. It’s crucial to offer a helping hand and foster collaboration, rather than creating an atmosphere of distrust. Motivation is a powerful skill every Project Manager must master to bring out the best in their team. My accomplishment this year is enthusiastic learning, uncovering the fact that, "I can able to work on any non-experienced task and work on any kind of tough situation". Quote to live by: “You know yourself better than anyone else.”

Aleksandr ValtsevEngineering and Project manager| AleVAL engineering OÜTallinn, 37, Estonia
Hello, PMP Community! My name is Aleksandr Valtsev, and I currently work as an Engineering and Project Manager specializing in sustainable solutions. With over 14 years of experience across the power, oil & gas, pulp & paper, and food industries, I’ve had the privilege of leading complex projects focused on energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and innovation. My expertise spans HVAC system design, fire safety management, CE-conformity assessment, and process installation, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects across Europe. From the early childhood, I aspired to explore the sciences and make a tangible difference in the world. This passion eventually led me to pursue a career in engineering and, later, project management—a field that allows me to combine my technical expertise with leadership and strategic planning. When it comes to project management tools, I rely on a mix of traditional and modern technologies. However, I’m always eager to expand my knowledge and explore emerging tools and methodologies that enhance team collaboration and project delivery. What drew me to project management is the opportunity to bring order and direction to complex challenges. I thrive on turning visionary ideas into reality and enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver impactful outcomes. The dynamic nature of the industry and the ability to contribute to sustainability and innovation have kept me passionate about my work. One of my proudest accomplishments is leading multiple projects that significantly improved energy efficiency and safety standards while fostering team development. Another milestone was completing strategic studies in Power-to-X technologies, showcasing my commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge innovation. I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you, learning from your experiences, and sharing insights. Let’s make great things happen together! Please feel free to reach me out in case of questions or cooperation opportunities.

Welcome to PMI's online community, Aleksandr Valtsev! You bring great experience; thanks for sharing your professional journey with us! Looking forward to connecting and learning from you.
Hello everyone! Happy Monday.
My name is Christy. I am currently unemployed, and looking to transition my skills into project management. I passed the CAPM a week ago after a month of study. I first got interested in project management when I was helping my partner with his project management course at USF. Just for fun I worked my way through the assignments on network diagrams and loved it.
When I was growing up I wanted to write mystery books, and I have written 3 so far, so that is probably my proudest personal AND professional moment. I now need to work on my marketing skills to get them out in the public eye.
I guess I would be super entry-level, anticipating a bit of difficulty finding a job, but I do have many transferrable skills, and I would love some advice!! I am thinking of project management in education or publishing.
Have a wonderful day!
