Hello Everyone,

My name is Summer Hurleyjacks. Currently, I am working in Public Health. My current role is assistant coordinator, and I am starting the process of CAPM certification. I have wanted to be everything when I grow up: fighter jet pilot, veterinarian, president, ambassador, and many more...

Hybrid project management seems to be the methodology that will be the best fit for my current role, and I look forward to learning more.

I was drawn to project management because I absolutely love empowering others using systems and tools that establish a process that lasts my time leading a team. The project gets completed, and the team grows in the process.

My proudest professional accomplishment was empowering my employee with tools and resources so that she could succeed in her role. Then, celebrating her loudly so that our organization could congratulate her at the statewide level!

Hello everyone. I am Monica, an electronic engineer with over 10 years of experience in product and project management, leading IT, marketing, customer experience, and product development initiatives. Recently, I relocated to Vancouver, Canada, where I aspire to apply my knowledge and experience as a project or product manager.
Growing up, I always wanted to be an engineer. I loved math and analytics, and when I finished high school, I decided to study electronic engineering because I was fascinated by the world of technology.
My favorite new technology is AI. I have practiced with some tools in my job, but I would like to learn more about it.
I began my career in a telecommunications company and quickly realized that I wanted to work in product development. I got involved in project management, developing technological products for customers.
I believe my proudest accomplishment, besides having a wonderful family, was leading teams where I could see people grow both personally and professionally.

Hi, I’m Patrick. I’m currently a Senior Integration Consultant with more than 10 years of experience in the IT field.

Growing up, I dreamed of becoming a general doctor or a professional soccer player.
However, life has its sense of humour, and my curiosity ultimately led me to the world of IT.
I enjoy using chatgpt.com to learn quickly because it is relatable and practical, though it has its limitations.
However, nothing beats direct conversations with colleagues and the power of face to face collaboration.

I was drawn to project management because IT is deeply intertwined with it.
Different projects require unique approaches, which always keep things exciting.
What keeps me going is learning from past lessons, the satisfaction of seeing projects come to life, and collaborating with amazing teams and clients.

My proudest accomplishment is achieving a 90% success rate in delivering complex application development projects.
This was meaningful because it transformed how our team operates, creating more opportunities for upskilling and improvement in other domains.
That said, nothing is more important than the moments we accomplish and celebrate with our loved ones.
Welcome to PMI's online community, Patrick! Thanks for sharing with us; I look forward to seeing you around the online community!

Hi all! My name is Elisabet (she/her) and I am currently looking for project management work. My background is in public health nutrition (a combination of project coordination/management and advocacy). When I was young I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My project management experience has been pretty informal (not following a specific methodology) so I am excited to be taking the PMP exam prep course offered by PMI to learn about the different methodologies. I enjoy managing projects in my field because I like to play the role of liaison between different stakeholders, and knowledge sharing is a passion of mine. My proudest accomplishment was creating a new role (Program Innovation Manager) at the nonprofit I used to work at.
Hello Elisabet, welcome to PMI's online community! We're so glad that you've joined us. The community is here to support you in any way that we can; I look forward to seeing you around!

Hello everyone, I’m Joe, an architect with 15 years experience of turning ideas into sketches, sketches into detailed drawings, and the drawings into buildings and spaces that can be felt and experienced by users. I am a Kenya, born and educated, but spent most of my professional life in Rwanda, driving projects from design to construction.
As a kid, I was more drawn to the performing arts, i.e. music and theatre, but that was not considered a viable career choice where I am from. I first encountered technical drawing and design in high school, and that is where I immediately decided that architecture was going to be my life.
As an architect, you often find yourself being a project manager by default, since you are leading project from the design stage, all the way to construction supervision. That is a position I excelled and thrived in for so many years, managing very successful projects in Rwanda, Uganda, D.R. Congo and Kenya. What I lacked was a standardised way of managing projects, and that is where I turned to PMI. PMP has given me the structure and tools to execute and manage projects more efficiently, and I cant wait to reap the benefits.
My proudest accomplishment is my contribution to the Kigali skyline, and the continuous rapid development of infrastructure in Rwanda.
Welcome Joseph, Thanks for sharing your background experience which leades you approaching to PMI to being PMP.
