Hi everyone, I'm Jagruti Dhande, and I'm currently a Technical Program Manager with experience leading large-scale programs, most recently in the electric vehicle industry at Rivian.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be an inventor and engineer! Having seeing my engineer parents performing those complex home projects, I was fascinated by how things worked and loved taking apart and rebuilding anything I could get my hands on. That curiosity and drive to create ultimately led me to engineering and then to project management. Beside my current role, I am also a Founder and CEO of GreenUrth, an ecommerce platform for eco-friendly and healthy products, based in Ontario, Canada.

I'm a big fan of tools that help teams collaborate effectively. I've used Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, and Trello extensively for project tracking. For document management, I rely on tools like SharePoint, Google Suite, and Confluence. I'm also proficient in data analysis and visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, and Tableau. I'm always looking to learn more about the latest project management technologies, especially in areas like AI-powered project planning and risk management.

What drew me to project management was the challenge of bringing complex projects to life. I love the process of organizing teams, strategizing, and overcoming obstacles to achieve a common goal. What's kept me in it is the satisfaction of seeing a project through from conception to completion and knowing that I've made a tangible impact towards sustainability and decarbonizing transportation.

One of my proudest accomplishments was leading the launch of several vehicle programs at Rivian. By implementing program management best practices and streamlining processes, we were able to reduce rework significantly and deliver successful launches despite significant manufacturing and supply chain challenges. This not only improved customer satisfaction but also resulted in cost savings above industry standards. It was incredibly rewarding to see the hard work of the team pay off and to contribute to the success of such an innovative company.

Hi Jagruti Dhande, welcome to PMI's online community!

Thank you for sharing - that sounds like a really cool project. I am noticing more and more Rivian vehicles on the road!

I look forward to seeing you around the online community!

Ofunre Iriobe Edmonton, ALBERTA, Canada
Hello everyone,
I am Iriobe Ofunre, and I'm thrilled to be joining PMI. With over 14 years in academia and a researcher, I've had the privilege of teaching courses and conducting research in marketing, business, and entrepreneurship development at the university level. This experience has not only honed my skills in strategic thinking and problem-solving but also given me deep insights into the dynamics of business growth and innovation.

Growing up, I wanted to be a technical person especially an engineer however, life prepared other paths for me. Beyond academia, I've spent considerable time as a consultant, focusing on developing strategy for small businesses. This role has allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, helping businesses navigate through complex challenges and achieve sustainable growth through resource optimization, risk mitigation, and scalable growth strategies.

What excites me most about joining PMI is the opportunity to collaborate with professionals who share a commitment to excellence, adaptability, and continuous improvement. I was initially intrigued by the terms Agile and Scrum, thinking they were computer programming languages until I started studying project management – Lol! Now, I particularly admire these methodologies for their emphasis on collaboration, adaptability, and delivering value incrementally. The role of a Scrum Master, in particular, fascinates me as it embodies leadership, facilitation, and continuous improvement—qualities I deeply respect and aspire to develop further.

For my proudest accomplishment, it was managing an event with over 10,000 participants – I consider it my first attempt at project management, and it earned me the nickname – troubleshooter, from my team members. Also, completing my PhD in Management Science is another accomplishment I am proud of.

I'm eager to share my experiences and learn from this community to further enhance my skills in project management, particularly in how it intersects with marketing, entrepreneurship and business strategy. I also want to contribute to discussions, and explore opportunities where I can apply my skills in project planning, team leadership, and strategic execution. I look forward to collaborating with all of you and contributing to our collective success.

Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to engaging with everyone.

James Turchick
PMI Team Member
Community Content Specialist| PMI Pa, United States

Hello everyone! My name's James Turchick and as a member of PMI's Community team I work as a content specialist, which means a lot of different things! From longer-term projects to support our content ecosystem to event speakers at our great Leadership Institute Meetings, I get to work with wonderful community members and colleagues around the world on many rewarding and diverse projects. Working with people from all different cultures is one of the highlights of my job.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work in communications in some capacity because I could not stay awake in math class! I always enjoyed the social sciences and have been drawn to working with people more than numbers my whole life, so being a member of our Community team is a natural fit for my interests here at PMI. I'm currently studying for the CAPM (some of you have helped me with advice recently on how to prepare... thank you!) so I am learning more about project management practices and tools everyday to better support the project professionals I work with and improve my abilities with delivering project success in my work. Project management captured my interests because of the good it does for the world, from small community initiatives to the largest megaprojects in the world. None of it would be possible without understanding people, managing expectations and setting ambitious & attainable goals - all skills that PMs prioritize.

One of my proudest accomplishments is receiving my master's degree in Communications for Development and Social Change from Temple University in the United States. It was very focused on delivering project-based change, which is why I'm looking forward to my certification journey and improving on those skills.

Anne Marie DiNardo Deputy IT Communications Lead| NASA Great Fallls, VA, United States
Hello - Greetings from the Washington, DC area. I am currently the deputy IT communications lead in the Office of the Chief Information Officer for NASA. I just started this position and am applying my project management expertise to launch effective communication strategies. For the past 20 years I have been spearheading projects for government programs with a focus on IT modernization and have designing digital tools to facilitate stakeholder collaboration on a global scale.

As a child, I wanted to pursue a career as a music composer and write the soundtracks for films. That creative passion evolved into storytelling through television and writing, and making contributions to public service, I have been able to make an impact on projects throughout my career where I applied my creative talent and project management best practices.

During the past ten years I have focused on change management and user adoption. I am a big fan of Jira and user adoption tools that assess stakeholder readiness to adopt a new IT solution and build user support into project plans. I learned about PMI when I was a consultant at Deloitte and immediately found the project management approach to be crucial - I really appreciate the PMI community and on-going professional development opportunities that PMI provides.

One of my proudest accomplishments was speaking at the 2018 PMI Global Conference about Channeling Your Inner Change Agent. It was an exciting opportunity to share my knowledge of change management with fellow practitioners and help project management practitioners become change agents in their role to ensure project success.
