I am Mariyappan, and I am thrilled to be a new member of this vibrant PMI community. Currently, I serve as Technical Project Manager, where I manage Projects for Airport ICT & ELV system across India.

As a child, I dreamt of becoming a Police Officer, but my path eventually led me to the exciting world of project management. It's fascinating how life can take us on unexpected journeys.

In my project management journey, I have found immense value in tools and technologies such as Network simulator and data management. The ever-evolving tech landscape in project management keeps me engaged and motivated.

What initially drew me to the project management industry was its dynamic nature and the opportunity to lead and be part of transformative projects. The ability to see an idea become a reality through effective project management is a powerful and fulfilling experience that has kept me in this field.

One of my proudest accomplishments, both personally and professionally, has been getting PMP certification in my first attempt. It was a moment of immense growth and achievement that has continued to inspire me in my project management career.

I am eager to connect with fellow PMI members, share experiences, and learn from your insights. Let's embark on this exciting journey of knowledge sharing and growth together.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community, and I look forward to contributing to and learning from our collective expertise

Greetings guys. I'm an IT consultant and project manager in the strategy and management consulting firm. I'm also an Independent Contractor in the civil engineering. I've spoken to lots of groups including PMI chapters.
I've managed some major multi-year projects that helped businesses devise and implement winning strategies, offered practical and sustainable solutions. I've turned around some looming disasters in corporate and business strategy, organizational transformation, and performance improvement.
I am an IT veteran with a wide range of skills, based in Mumbai and now focusing on project management after obtaining Prince2 foundation and practitioner certifications.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community, and I look forward to contributing to and learning from our collective expertise.

Cheers!
Welcome to PMI's online community, Sanjay! We're so glad you've joined us.

Joseph Couture Project Manager / Global Print Services Owner| Self Fl, United States
Hello fellow PMs!
First off, I'd like to say it's an honor to be among you and glad that I can introduce myself and contribute in some way to ProjectManagement.com.
I began my project management experience immediately as a PM after commissioning as an officer in the US military. Since I branched Signal, my responsibilities were leading junior, some senior soldiers, and government contractors in all things IS related. Culminating in a tour to Afghanistan for over a year, I returned to civilian life and found a niche within IT, managed services, more specifically managed print services. I have had elevated titles, roles, and responsibilities, in almost two decades of being within the field. I have managed small-med-large projects often simultaneously. Right now, I am unemployed, but I did start an IT/MPS consulting company in Florida. When I was younger I wanted to be a Catholic priest and then an airforce jet pilot. Obviously, I changed my mind. I was always facinated with computers so my transition to IT was not very hard to predict. I have PMI certs in ACP, PMP, and RMP. Many certs in IT frameworks, agile methodologies Scrum and SAFe, Six Sigma and such. I'm completing my third master's degree in science management information systems (Fall '25), already hold MBA, MSIT, and two-post graduate level certificates. I find myself either always studying for grad school, a certification, or other busy work. My next major goal is to be accepted into my local university PhD program in Information Systems. I've already begun post-graduate research with a former professor in the field that I chose to learn more about.
Please reach out to me, network, and learn more about each other!

Brian Basu Founder, 4Points Project Management| 4Points Project Management Austin, United States

Hello Everyone! My name is Brian Basu. My career has spanned leadership roles in Project Management, Program Management and Business Analysis. I have had the good fortune to work for esteemed organizations like Charles Schwab, AIG, AXA, Maximus, Dollar Thrifty, 3M, Whole Foods, Texas Mutual, and Google. I have been a PMO Steering Committee member within several Enterprise Project Management Offices and successfully led strategic Organizational Change Management initiatives.

I would like to continue contributing towards the upliftment of the global project management community.

I have extensive experience and exposure to traditional project management tools such as HP PPM, Workfront, Planview, MS Project Server and agile project enablers such as TFS, JIra, Trello, Asana etc. I think every tool has its strengths but I have loved using HP PPM for the out of box PM workflows and Trello for the ease of managing product backlogs.

I am of that school of thought that believes that project management is and will continue to be one of the enablers of organizational success regardless of rapid changes to the underlying technology, tools and services.

I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to have worked for some of the finest organizations and teams. I can’t single out one single successful initiative but here are a few noteworthy ones that I am proud of. At Dollar Thrifty and 3M, I collaborated with business technology teams to build Project Management and Business Analysis Center of Excellences and Delivery Services. At Whole Foods, I partnered with the Cloud Engineering team to build a Cloud Infrastructure Intake process which was used as a starting point to build a Cloud Infrastructure Scaled Agile Framework following Amazon’s acquisition of Whole Foods. At Texas Mutual, I was part of the Enterprise PMO program management leadership team that successfully delivered several key initiatives within Technology Strengthening Framework. Most recently at Google, I partnered with the Technical Program Management team and Senior Leadership to deliver the Top Program Review Playbook for Google Enterprise Network.

I am looking forward to connecting with this community, learning and contributing to everyone’s growth and success!
