Pascual Bernad de Castro Architect | BIM Manager| BEAR Architecture Durable & BIM Management Genève, Switzerland

👋 Hello PMI community!

My name is Pascual Bernad de Castro, and I’m an architect, BIM consultant, and project manager. I founded BEAR Architecture Durable & BIM Management, a Geneva-based studio focused on sustainability, project management, and the digital transformation of the AEC sector through BIM methodologies.

🧒🏼 As a child, I dreamed of building things and was fascinated by nature. That early passion still guides my professional path: transforming spaces with conscious design, digital tools, and a long-term environmental vision.

📦 My favorite project management tools and frameworks include:

Hybrid Kanban boards combining agile and predictive approaches.

The PMBOK® Guide – Seventh Edition as a flexible, value-oriented reference.

Integration of Revit, Synchro 4D, and PowerBI to align planning, modeling, and decision-making.

📌 What drew me to project management was its ability to merge strategic thinking, human leadership, and measurable outcomes. What keeps me here is the challenge of generating real value in complex projects while fostering collaboration across disciplines.

🤝 I’m currently looking to connect with architects, engineers, and professionals across the AEC sector — both in Switzerland and internationally — to explore collaborations and synergies that can improve architectural processes and strengthen the role of architecture as a key contributor to sustainability in our societies.

I'm happy to join this community and look forward to learning, exchanging ideas, and connecting with fellow professionals.

Warm regards from Geneva 🇨🇭.

Pascual

Hello everyone! I’m Kabindra Kundu, currently working as the Executive Director of Handson System, an EdTech platform that delivers instructor-led online training in SAS Analytics, Python, AI, Clinical SAS, and Project-Based Learning. Over the last 25+ years, I’ve dedicated my career to building and managing IT education businesses, training institutes, and custom enterprise software solutions—both in India and internationally.

Although I’ve never held a formal corporate job, I’ve successfully led multiple IT and training projects, managed teams, built partnerships, and delivered large-scale training implementations. My entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding two organizations—Novel Research & Development India Pvt Ltd and Handson System—as well as serving as Director & Principal of a Govt.-affiliated Industrial Training Center under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.

I earned my PMP certification to explore new opportunities in project consulting and improve my own business practices. I’m actively learning about PMO frameworks, Agile practices, and AI-powered project tools to adapt to current industry trends. Though I haven’t worked extensively with tools like Jira or Microsoft Project, I’m excited to explore them and engage with others here who can share their practical experiences.

Some milestones I’m proud of include:

Presenting my MPhil research on Business Intelligence at the SAS Global Forum in Florida, 2011, the world’s largest data mining conference hosted by SAS Institute.

Helping learners from diverse fields (Biotech, Pharmacy, Statistics, Finance, Clinical Research) secure jobs worldwide through specialized analytics training.

Building a self-sustained EdTech platform from scratch that provides practical, career-oriented learning at affordable costs.

I’m here to learn, contribute, and connect with project management professionals globally. Looking forward to meaningful exchanges, guidance, and collaboration!

Warm regards,
Kabindra Kundu

Hi everyone! I am Preeti Sharma, from India, currently working as Training & Development Head. I lead impactful learning and development initiatives across teams. My passion lies in designing engaging programs that blend leadership, communication, and project execution. Watching professionals grow through them is the most rewarding part of my job.

Interestingly, as a child, I dreamt of becoming a teacher and a writer. Today, I get to train minds, craft content, and lead projects that shape real change.

When it comes to tools, I love the clarity of MS Project. Lately, I’ve been exploring Power BI for visual storytelling, and I’m excited to dive deeper into Agile tools like JIRA.

Project management, for me, is the bridge between ideas and execution. What drew me in was the structure. What keeps me here is the constant learning, leading, and connecting with people.

One of my proudest moments- Ofcourse earning my PMP certification!!! And successfully leading end-to-end learning projects across IT and EdTech sectors. Another personal win has been building a learning community of over 750 participants (and growing each day) for finance and legal professionals. I drive the learning initiatives in the community and watching it grow and evolve organically has been incredibly fulfilling.

Looking forward to learning and sharing with this inspiring community!

Cheers to Lifelong Learning!

Director, Community Generated Knowledge| Project Management Institute
Hello everyone! My name is Brandon, and I started here at PMI on May 27th as the new Director of Community Generated Knowledge.

In my new role, I lead and work with the Community Generated Knowledge team which covers Online Community and Webinars, Content and Fellows, and Student Engagement and Mentorship. My job focuses on leading strategies for growing the online community, growing community-generated content opportunities, and engaging community members and leaders through content, connection, and shared learning. I’m excited to be here and I’m looking forward to getting to know the community!

Previously, I was at Fandom for 15 years, most recently as VP of Community with a focus on Fandom's online wiki community platform. My background from my time there includes community management, customer support, community partnerships with gaming and entertainment studios, product and sales support, and trust and safety (particularly platform moderation). I'm excited to bring what I learned to PMI as we grow the Community Generated Knowledge team and space.

Growing up, my aspirations were to get into public service. My original post-college career plan was to go to law school, but I changed my mind after flopping the LSAT prep courses (those logic games really got me). From there I decided to go into community management. I’ve always loved working with people and building relationships, and this is a great space to do that in.

I’m brand new to the project management profession, so I'm not super familiar with the tools and tricks of the trade, but I am planning on getting a certification as soon as possible. The thing that drew me to PMI was the opportunity to take what I've learned over the last 15 years and use it in service of an increasingly important and growing profession. I think project professionals do and will continue to change the world, and the opportunity to be part of the evolution of this space was too good to pass up.

In terms of my proudest accomplishment? Probably the first time I got to work with people directly involved in my favorite franchises (Star Wars and Star Trek). Those were the moments where I was able to say "I've made it" in terms of making a career out of the things that matter to me and bring me enjoyment.

Now the thing that matters to me is taking everything I've learned and experienced and using that to do help an increasingly important profession drive success and change the world, which is why I'm here at PMI. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all more as we do just that, together!

...

My name is Zouhair Chriqui. I am currently working as a Consultant in the automotive industry. I support projects through Alten Sweden and am based in Gothenburg. My main focus is on steering system development for electric and autonomous vehicles.
When I was a child, I wanted to become an F1 driver. I was fascinated by speed, control, and the intense focus required to perform at a high level. That passion for cars and performance eventually led me to engineering, where I found the same mix of technology, responsibility, and precision.
In my current role, I work on solving different hardware issues in steering systems, such as steering feel problems, noise, electrical failures, corrosion, and more. I lead root cause analyses, work closely with suppliers, and make sure we meet all project deadlines. I also support testing activities and follow up on production quality and documentation to ensure everything is in line with project requirements.
I currently use tools like Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence to manage my work. I am also interested in learning more about MS Project, Smartsheet, and Azure DevOps to improve my project management skills.
What drew me to project management is the ability to connect technical work with planning, communication, and coordination. I enjoy being involved in the full process, from identifying a problem to implementing a solution and seeing the final product delivered. What keeps me in the field is the impact I can make through teamwork, structure, and clear results.
One of my proudest professional accomplishments was leading the resolution of a critical hardware issue that was affecting steering feel and could have delayed the vehicle launch. It was a tough challenge that required deep technical investigation, close coordination with the supplier, and a lot of pressure to deliver quickly. After weeks of work, we identified the root cause, implemented a fix, and kept the project on track. It was a real moment of growth for me, both technically and as a project leader.
On a personal level, my biggest accomplishment is becoming a father recently. It has changed my perspective completely. It’s taught me patience, balance, and given me even more motivation to do well in everything I take on.

Welcome to PMI's online community, ZOUHAIR CHRIQUI!

I've heard great things about the F1 documentary on Netflix - you've inspired me to check it out!

I'm Kanjar. My background is in AI research and I have over a decade of experience working with artificial intelligence technologies across various domains. Throughout my career, I've contributed to cutting-edge research projects and developed expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and AI applications.

Currently, I'm exploring opportunities in the startup ecosystem, where I'm passionate about translating AI research into viable business solutions. However, I've recognized that while I have strong technical skills, I lack formal project management knowledge - which is crucial for successfully delivering complex technology projects from concept to market.

My transition into project management is driven by necessity and genuine interest. I've witnessed too many promising AI projects struggle not because of technical limitations, but due to poor planning, resource management, and execution. I'm drawn to project management because it combines strategic thinking with practical execution, and I believe it's the missing piece that will help me bridge the gap between innovative research and successful product delivery.

I'm here to learn structured methodologies, develop leadership skills, and ultimately become more effective at turning AI innovations into impactful solutions. I'm particularly interested in understanding how to manage cross-functional teams and navigate the unique challenges of technology startups.

On a personal level, I'm passionate about continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies. In my free time, I enjoy coding personal projects, reading about industry trends, and exploring new tech tools that can improve productivity.

Hi Kanjar, welcome to PMI's online community! Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. You may be interested in our AI topic page: https://www.projectmanagement.com/topics/artificial-intelligence/
