My name is Jean Christian Janody. I own two companies, one of which specializes in transportation and logistics management, and the other in construction and public works.

What did you want to be when you were little?

When I was little, my dream was to work as an engineer for Toyota Japan.

What are your preferred project management tools and technologies?

The main tools I use most are: Jira, Clickup, MS Project, ChapGpt, PowerBi, Power Query, GanttProject.

What attracted you to project management? What prompted you?

In the current professional environment, where project requests from our key partners are frequent, I therefore considered fully devoting myself to this profession. I have already logged several hours of work on project development. What particularly motivates me is the prospect of collaborating with teams on an international scale. Furthermore, I am interested in acquiring the PMP certification issued by the PMI.

What is your greatest achievement (personal or professional)?

My greatest professional achievement is creating jobs and training young people.

Shubham Bhosale Production Planner| Grifols Dublin, D, Ireland

Hi everyone, my name is Shubham Bhosale, and I’m currently working as a Production Planner based in Clondalkin. When I was growing up, I actually wanted to be an engineer—someone who builds and solves real-world problems. That curiosity and love for structured thinking eventually led me into the world of planning and project management. Over time, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for tools like Microsoft Project and Power BI for visualizing timelines and performance. I’m also really interested in learning more about Smartsheet, especially for cross-functional collaboration and automation. What drew me to project management was the blend of structure and adaptability—it’s like solving a puzzle where the pieces keep moving. What’s kept me in it is the satisfaction of seeing a plan come together and knowing that my coordination helped make it happen. One of my proudest accomplishments was leading a production optimization initiative that reduced lead times by 20% without compromising quality. It was a team effort, but being at the center of that transformation was incredibly rewarding.

Hi team,
I'm Matthew, a Project management professional based in London, and I'm thrilled to join this community! I'm passionate about turning complex challenges into successful outcomes and have spent the last three years doing just that across various sectors. I'm methodology-agnostic but methodology-aware, with a solid foundation in PRINCE2® 7 and Six Sigma, and I enjoy tailoring approaches like Agile/Scrum to fit the project's unique needs.
My key strengths lie in stakeholder management, untangling tricky project dependencies, and using data to inform decisions. I'm a firm believer that the right tools (like Jira or MS Project) and clear communication are the backbones of any successful project.
I'm here to learn from your experiences, share my own lessons learned (both successes and failures!), and be an active member of this collaborative space. Looking forward to connecting with you all!

Cheers,
Matthew

Jean christian Janody Manager General| Gaboncar-entreprise Libreville, Gabon

PMWB Chapter Program Specialist III| Project Management Institute Rochester, NY, United States
Hello everyone!

Growing up, I wanted to be either a writer or a flight attendant — both inspired by my curiosity about people and global cultures. That curiosity eventually led me to explore how organizations, communities, and individuals can achieve meaningful outcomes through structured initiatives. In 2009, while researching project management as a potential career focus, I discovered PMI. At the same time, I was exploring graduate programs and chose a Master's in Higher Education Management from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, where I deepened my understanding of organizational growth, leadership, and community impact.

I have been working at PMI for about eight years, focused on advancing social impact in the PMI global chapter space. My work includes strategic implementation, qualitative/quantitative outcome tracking, and multilingual communication support, empowering PMI Chapters and volunteers worldwide to deliver high-impact, community-driven projects. I'm fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese and Italian, which allows me to connect across regions and cultures effectively.

My current role at PMI is Chapter Specialist with Project Management Without Borders (PMWB), where I integrate the PMWB framework into PMI Chapters' Social impact initiatives across LATAM, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, and South Asia.

The mission of PMWB is to partner volunteer project managers with extraordinary nonprofits and NGOs to help move their missions forward, applying project management tools and methodologies to create sustainable social impact. All PMI social Impact efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), ensuring that PMI chapter initiatives contribute to a shared global purpose. PMI defines Social Impact as "elevating our world and transforming communities local and global by using project management skills to create measurable change."

One of my proudest accomplishments has been helping PMI evolve from Social Good (which started with PMIEF) to Social Impact strategically, using tools and language that resonate with the PMI community. I've also supported the integration of PMWB as one of the two programmatic bridges between PMI Chapters and global partners, enabling volunteer project managers to apply their skills to nonprofit and NGO challenges. To date, this work has empowered chapters across multiple regions to launch community-driven projects that deliver measurable outcomes accompanied by amazing storytelling aligned with the UNSDGs.

The technology tools I am currently using are Microsoft 365, ChatGPT, Google Workspace, and Zoom to enhance collaboration and project delivery across time zones and languages. While I'm passionate about how AI and digital tools can amplify outcomes, I keep in mind that technology complements the works and cannot replace human sentiment, compassion, and the feeling of belonging to a community. My work is people focused and driven by people.

I enjoy connecting with anyone interested in social impact strategy, volunteer engagement, global project management, or cross-regional collaboration. For those curious about how project management can transform lives and communities worldwide or those looking to explore ways to collaborate, reach out and let's connect.

Tulio Marenda Garotti PM II| Deloitte Malta, Malta
Greetings everyone,

I’m Túlio, originally from Brazil, but have been living in Europe for the past decade. Currently I am living in Malta and working in Deloitte, under their IT branch (T&T – Technology and Transformation) as a project manager.

I didn’t aim for this profession up until it happened! When I was a kid, I was looking for to being a veterinarian, as I always loved pets – particularly dogs. At pre-college time, I was choosing between Math, Philosophy, and Anthropology, and in the end, I major in Psychology. But by the time that I moved from Brazil to Europe, I started looking for a new professional path, which after some trial and thoughts, led me to work in IBM Bulgaria, where I started my PM journey.

All these changes had their own challenges, and making it work out is what I’m most proud of. I had to find my way in different countries and cultures, develop myself outside of my original educational path, and eventually found a sweet spot that I am quite happy with.

The PM profession drew me due to its endless possibilities. I learned that my sweet spot on this profession is to work in transformation, as changes are exciting for me. Thinking and working on process improvements, structural changes, strategy direction, is my fuel, and whenever I have the chance, I jump onboard on projects that allow me to exercise this bone.

For tools, I must share my love for Jira. On my early years as a PM, I struggled to find a tool that made sense for me, one that could centralize the key elements of my project management practice. With Jira I can properly organize myself and have a transparent organization with my project team. There is still plenty that I need to learn about it, as it is quite a complex one the more that you dig, and I’m happy to discuss about it with other Jira enthusiasts!

Cheers,
Tulio
