Earning PMP Education Credits with On-Demand classes

Can you earn credit for PMP training requirements (the 35 hours) with On-Demand classes or do they have to be live training sessions? Long story short, I have an account with Metrix Learning and they have the entire 35 hour on-demand PMP courses (2021 updated but 2023 is coming next month). I asked Metrix if they were an authorized training provider that could give credit for watching the courses so I could take the PMP exam. I was told that if I purchased the Learner Kit (https://www.skillsoft.com/pmp-voucher-offering) from Skillsoft (because that's where their videos come from) and used it while watching the videos then I'd be able to get credit. Skillsoft had a different opinion and said you can only earn credit by participating in the bootcamps. PMI support can't seem to find any info on it and I can't even find the Learner Kit information on the PMI website. Anyone have any experience with getting credit for the 35 hours by following on-demand courses from a company like Skillsoft or Metrix Learning?

Generally speaking, yes, you can earn the 35 PDU through self-paced (non-live) courses. Even PMI themselves have a self-paced course for PMP prep that will provide you with the 35 PDUs.

I am not sure if Skillsoft or Metrix Learning are PMI ATPs but even if not, you can submit the credit at the time of application and if you were audited, all you need to do is submit a proof that you took the course as long as the course is relevant.

Hope this helps.

You can earn if it is PM-related.
