I am wondering if anyone else from a Case Manager position has applied for the PMP certification, if so, what work experience satisfied the PMI requirements?

Javier, you need to have experience relevant to project management. The post doesn't matter so regardless of what your position was, as long as you were doing project management activities, then you experience qualifies. If not, then you have the option to go for CAPM until you gain relevant experience.

I was a teacher for 6 years with project and leadership experience in that field, I applied for the PMP and was audited. I was successful

Congrats, Louise. If you have your experience properly documented, you shouldn't have a problem.
