hi community, after 5 years in project management in the automobile industry I want to find a new role in the digital transformation. My aim is to get a position where I can work fully remote. Who can tell me which knowledge I need to gain and what is necessary to reach that goal? Thanks. Saving Changes...
Transitioning from project management in the automobile industry to a remote role in digital transformation depends on the employer's specific requirements. However, having a strong foundation in key concepts and technologies related to digital transformation is often essential.
Here's a list of some essential areas of knowledge in digital transformation:
Cloud Computing, Data Analytics and Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Cybersecurity, Blockchain Technology, Mobile Technologies, Agile Methodologies, User Experience (UX) and Design Thinking, Robotic Process Automation (RPA),
Change Management, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), Data Privacy and Compliance,

I agree with Abolfazl. Also, programming quality, program testing, and citizen development are valuable knowledge for digital transformation. Saving Changes...

Thank you Abolfazl and Veronica for your replies. Assuming I get trained in one or two disciplines mentioned. Do you have tips how I can get some experience in these specific fields without giving up my current position for now? Are there perhaps existing platforms where one can support or offer services just to get some insights? Appling Pareto, 20% is learning but 80% should be dedicated to practice I guess. I did not fully understand what are you asking about. But if you are asking about the way of working when working fully remote making home office then I have to say is a switch in the way to lead projects. Trust is the key ingredient. Perhaps you do not need that. Just to comment I working fully remote in the last 20 years. Saving Changes...
