What are the future prospects of Artificial Intelligence in project management and how could it impact the industry in the long term?

The future prospects and degree to which AI will impact Project Management is highly dependent on the industry you operate in. For example, in Construction it will be very different than in Healthcare or IT. There is no one-size-fits-all scenario!

We need to align ourselves with new working methods in Project Management integrated with Artificial Intelligence.

Generative Artificial Intelligence increases productivity and efficiency. As Project Managers, we can manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously and be accountable for the information accuracy Gen AI generates and its ethical uses. PMs would be required to evaluate and modify the current governance and framework to execute projects.

As far as industries are concerned, AI impacts almost all industries in the long-term regarding new skills for resources, changes in policy/regulations, increased productivity/efficiency, transparency in transactions, more automated systems, new roles, and business/industry sector opportunities.
