I am a university student conducting some research on project management, and need some inquiries answered. If anyone can help I would be very appreciative. I am interested in knowing which industries use project management and its processes?. Saving Changes...

I think most industries use project management. You will certainly find project managers on this forum and others from IT, engineering, construction, telecoms, public sector, charities and many others. Saving Changes...

One approach is to scour through the job boards. You should be able to see that most of the hirings for project managers come from the IT and civil engineering industries. You may also look at their job responsibilities and requirements to see if they have indicated the processes or methodologies to follow. Saving Changes...
Most industries use project management processes - it is cross-industry as a discipline. However, some industries like financial services use PMs a LOT as they run a LOT of projects every year. Saving Changes...

Great question and topic for university research. I would offer that all industries use some form of project management. Some industries might be more mature (or better) in one form of project management and other industries might be more mature (or better) in another form of it. For example, you might find more Six Sigma project management approaches in Manufacturing, you might find more Complex Adaptive Systems approaches in High Tech and industries like Financial Services with New Product Development (Time to Market), and you will likely find a broad use of traditional plan-driven project management techniques in just about all industries. So hope you post back some of your research findings... Saving Changes...

yes, all industries will use PM methods as the team suggests, Elizabeth could have been listing my project portfolio...
Take the definition of what a project is and you'll see that even a hair cut is a project:
It has a definite objective, a cost and a timescale... it almost certainly has risks (personal injury and chemical spillage), there will be procedures and processes, tools and techniques - but they just don't stick it all on a gantt chart. Saving Changes...
