Given that AI can automate routine and data-intensive tasks, how can project managers leverage AI to scale human expertise for more strategic decision-making without losing the human touch? Saving Changes...
I view it as a partnership - neither can replace the other, but understanding where the boundaries are can help in maximizing the benefits. In an extreme case, one could envision a RAM or RACI being developed with various AI tools as actors responsible for specific activities.
Figuring out the right balance will require curiosity, patience and a willingness to experiment on the part of senior leaders and the PMs working for them.

Antonio,
strategic decision-making needs more competencies than automation and big data handling. In fact, it is often driven by experience, bias, and gut feelings, which are human capabilities. It happens on a level of abstract thinking in models, applying frameworks, and imagining theoretical scenarios using counterfactuals. This level of cognition is not yet covered by AI (as far as I know).
But yes, as email and internet, automation and big data will help anyone as a tool to get better in tactical decisions and more comfortable in strategic ones. Saving Changes...

Dear Antonio,
In my experience, integrating AI into project management can be a game-changer, significantly when scaling human expertise for strategic decision-making. I've found that leveraging AI for data analysis provides critical insights, freeing us to focus on strategic interpretation. Automating routine tasks is another area where AI shines, enhancing efficiency and allowing us to concentrate on leadership roles. Predictive analytics, decision support systems, and AI-enhanced collaboration tools are all invaluable for informed decision-making. By strategically deploying AI, we can augment our human expertise, ensuring our decision-making remains data-driven and intuitively human.
BR,
Markus
