Here are some specific examples of how AI is being used to assist with sustainability goals:
Google AI is using AI to develop new renewable energy technologies, such as solar panels and wind turbines.
Microsoft AI is working with farmers to use AI to improve crop yields and reduce pesticide use.
IBM AI is helping companies reduce their carbon footprint by optimizing energy use and transportation.
The World Wildlife Fund is using AI to monitor deforestation and illegal fishing.

Hopefully the sustainability calculations take into account the carbon footprint of the computational power used by the AI tools otherwise it could be a "one step forward, two steps back" solution.
