My recommendation is taking a look to PMI“s free course about Generative AI. But returning to your point, to be honest, in my actual work place we are starting to using it. As you know the technique to generate this type of thing is prompt then the final user has to be trained to make the answers following a defined format to be efective.

Dear Joyiit,

In my professional experience and through my extensive network in the IT consulting and project management industry, I have observed the adoption of AI tools, including generative AI models (referred to as "GenAI"), in various aspects of project management. While I have not personally used GenAI in my projects, I am aware of its successful implementation by peers and within the industry. The most beneficial aspects of GenAI in project management, based on these observations, include:

Automated Document and Report Generation: GenAI can be instrumental in automating the creation of project-related documents, such as status reports, executive summaries, and risk assessment documents. This not only saves time but also ensures consistency and accuracy in reporting.

Enhanced Data Analysis: GenAI models can process and analyze vast amounts of project data, extracting meaningful insights that might be missed by human analysis. This is particularly useful in large-scale projects with complex data sets.

Idea Generation and Problem-Solving: In brainstorming sessions or when addressing complex project challenges, GenAI can be used to generate innovative ideas and potential solutions. Its ability to rapidly process information and suggest alternatives can be valuable in creative problem-solving.

Risk Prediction and Mitigation Strategies: By analyzing historical data and current project metrics, GenAI can predict potential risks and propose mitigation strategies. This proactive approach to risk management is invaluable in ensuring project success.

Optimization of Project Planning and Scheduling: GenAI algorithms can optimize project schedules and resource allocation, considering various constraints and objectives. This leads to more efficient project execution and resource utilization.

While these applications represent significant advancements in project management, it's essential to approach GenAI as a complementary tool. The decision-making and strategic insight provided by experienced project managers remain irreplaceable. GenAI, therefore, should be viewed as a means to augment human expertise, not replace it.

BR,

Markus
